Deleting your data
You can disconnect any social account from Brooks at any time, and you can ask us to delete everything we hold about you. Here’s how.
1. Disconnect an account in Brooks
In Brooks, open the network’s Manage button and choose Disconnect. We delete that account’s login token right away, so Brooks can no longer post to it.
Disconnecting also asks the network to remove Brooks’ access on its side: on TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn, on Facebook when you disconnect your last Page, and on Instagram when you disconnect the last account you shared in that login.
2. Remove Brooks on the network
You can also remove Brooks from inside each network:
- Instagram: in your business portfolio’s settings (business.facebook.com/settings) → Integrations → Connected apps → Brooks → Remove. Brooks is connected to your business portfolio, not to your personal profile.
- Facebook: Settings → Business integrations → remove Brooks.
- TikTok: Settings → Security → Manage app permissions → remove Brooks.
- YouTube and Google: go to myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove Brooks.
- LinkedIn: Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services → remove Brooks.
When you do this on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, the network tells Brooks automatically, and we disconnect the account and delete its token. Google tells us through its account security notices.
3. Delete everything Brooks holds about you
Email privacy@usebrooks.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete your data. We’ll confirm your request and delete everything we hold about you within 30 days, in Brooks and at the providers that process it for us. This includes:
- your account and sign-in details;
- your connected social accounts and their tokens;
- the records of your posts;
- your listings, videos, captions and calendar;
- your face and voice data, including your presenter and your voice clone (see our Biometric Data Policy).
Videos that are already published stay on your social accounts until you delete them there, because those accounts are yours.
Requests from Meta
When Meta sends us a data deletion request for an Instagram or Facebook account, we delete everything we hold about that account (its tokens, username and picture, and its posts’ delivery records) and give you a confirmation code and a link where you can check the request’s status.
